POLTX_Fiber is the first commercial product to use APT™ (Antimicrobial Polymer Technology), a patented platform invented and developed by PTx that embeds an antimicrobial functionality directly into the dressing. Unlike many advanced antimicrobial wound dressings that rely on releasing the antimicrobial component, and may expose the patient to their known side effects, APT™ is designed to act rapidly and provide sustained activity (data on file), to prevent bacterial colonization within the dressing. Following CE Mark approval, we are preparing to introduce POLTX_Fiber in selected European markets, working with the medical community, including wound care centres and distribution partners, to build real-world clinical and patient experience as access is scaled.
